The Truth about Halloween (Without Demonizing It). Why It’s Not Evil

I know that when Halloween rolls around, many of us Christians seem to get paranoid. We then start spewing forth the over-used phrase, “Halloween comes from the druids!”

But what does that mean? Contrary to popular belief, the Druids never intended for their tradition to be “evil”. In fact, it was a time of celebration expressed in a beautiful and poetic form. Here’s a link in case anybody wants to know what REALLY happened during Samhain (Halloween) from a source that doesn’t demonize the original culture.

Side note: Personally, I’m fascinated because my heritage lies in Celtic origin. To be able to see how my ancestors celebrated this time is amazing.

Do you not realize that the word “Murder” means “the unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought”? That means that murder can only take place from one human being to another. Sorry, cupcake. Sharks aren’t murdering us when they kill humans, and humans don’t murder sharks.

Good job trying to use loaded words (“shark related deaths” versus “murder”) to illustrate your concept! Sadly it is flawed. Too bad you’re placing more value on a shark’s life than on a human being’s….
